ONDO: Accolades unceasing for Akeredolu, as govt hailed on Oloba’s elevation to First Class status

The Oba-Ile Progressive Union (OPU), an umbrella body representing sons and daughters of Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, has congratulated their king, Oba Joseph Oluwadare Agunbiade, Otuntubiosun III, the Oloba of Oba-Ile, on his elevation to the ‘Grade A’ status by the state government.

Describing the achievement as well-deserved, town’s union thanked the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) for thinking that goodness towards the side of their monarch, who has been on the throne since 1987 doing well an authority that is closest to his people.

In a congratulatory message signed by Convener of Eji-Oba Progressives, Rt Revd Ayodeji Fagbemi, copy of which was obtained by The DEFENDER, the group said, “On behalf of Oba-Ile Progressive Union, we felicitate with Kabiyesi, Alayeluwa Okirikisi Omo Atorun ro, Oba Joseph Oluwadare Agunbiade, Otutubiosun III, the Oloba Oodaye of Oba-Ile, on his well-deserved elevation to the status of a Grade A Oba in Ondo State.

“We felicitate with all Oba-ile sons and daughters on this great achievement. We have been in this struggle for a long time, as this has been overdue since the Morgan Commission.

“We thank God and appreciate our amiable Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for making this possible, in our own time in our own generation.

“We pray that this will bring further development to Oba-Ile community and peace to entire Ondo State. Congratulations to all Ejiobas!  God bless Ondo State,” the union said.
