A statement later by the Special Assistant to the Osolo on Administration and Media, Mr. Michael Ayomide, said Sheikh Moshood Raji Kewuyemi, who is also the Mufasur of Akure Muslim Community after appreciating Allah for granting their prayers on Osolo and liberation of Isolo town, affirmed that ascension of His Royal Highness Oba Edward Kolawole Adejoyegbe Adewole Osalade II to the the throne as Osolo of Isolo was ordained by God and, therefore, added that he should not neglect the Lord and the Muslim Community in Isolo as they played significant role in interceding for him in prayer.

The cleric, thereafter, presented the aspirations of the Muslim community to the Osolo as, according to him, Isolo is now clearly an autonomous town.

The list of what they plan to achieve he gave to Oba Adewole as including 1. Isolo Central Mosque, 2. Isolo Islamic School, 3. Isolo Islamic Hospital and 4. Chieftaincy consideration for both male and female Muslims, as, he said, “they are supportive, trusted, committed and loyal set of people in the community.”

The sheikh referred to Iralepo of Isinkan’s pledge to implement such things in his domain and posited that Isolo shall not be exempted from achieving same.

Furthermore, the religious leader on behalf of the Muslim Communities appeals to Osolo to always consent to their invitations now that Kabiyesi is substantively recognized as crown monarch in Akure South Local Government.

Admonishing the Osolo and the Osolo-in-Council with words of Allah, the cleric stressed that Osolo should neither despise nor neglect his chiefs in decision making for the progress of the town.

To the chiefs, he urged them to be absolutely loyal to the king as the success and otherwise of the any monarch depends on the loyalty and support which receives his Osolo-in-Council.

After appealing to them that he cannot despise their calls or invitations, the monarch further assured that though there is no community-owned land left in Isolo town any more, but that he will ensure efforts are made to meet their requests, even as he added what the Muslims did not add, that is for Isolo to have its own Yidi site, Muslim praying ground at Sallah, for him to be joining them during Islamic celebrations, charging the clerics to work on it.

Moreso, Osalade II seized the opportunity of the visit to send clarion call to all meaningful sons and daughters of Isolo town, home and in Diaspora, to come together for the advancement of Isolo town.

Part of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of gifts including a copy of English translated Holy Qur’an to the monarch, who appreciated the Muslim community for their good initiative to stand with him to develop a d stabilise not only the traditional leadership but also the entire Isolo town in the state.
