Effort by some unpatriotic citizens either in the quack or professional journalism sector, insistent on using fake and unsubstantiated news to tear Nigeria apart for reason best known to them has again been thwarted.
This was coming as a statement Tuesday denied that Obi of Onitsha has issued any statement regarding recent events in Northern part of the country.
In the statement, signed by Chinyelugo Osita Anionwu, Chief of Staff to Ime Obi Onicha, and copy of which was obtained by The DEFENDER on Tuesday, the Obi of Onitsha said there was no such thing coming from him.
“The attention of Ime Obi Onicha palace has been drawn to a statement to the effect that His Majesty, Nnaemeka Achebe, Agbogidi, Obi of Onitsha has called on every Igbo living in the North to come back home immediately.
“The statement which has gone viral on social media is fake and should be discountenanced.”
