The number of residents of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR, LPR), as well as Ukraine who arrived in Russia has surpassed 400,000, law enforcement agencies told TASS on Thursday.

“Almost 402,000 people, including 84,000 children, crossed the Russian border from the DPR, LPR and Ukraine,” the source said. He specified that only in the past day 17,800 people crossed the Russian border.

According to him, over 342,000 people have been evacuated from Donbass since February 18, about 60,000 have arrived from the Ukrainian territory through checkpoints in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea.

More than 22,000 Donbass residents, including more than 10,000 children, are now in temporary shelters in 34 regions of Russia.
