The Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) potential status as part of Russia has not been discussed yet, LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

“We haven’t discussed the issue yet. I am perfectly honest, we have a lot of issues related to the war to deal with,” he noted. “We will make all the decisions at a referendum,” Pasechnik added.

“I am sure that a vast majority of the republic’s residents will definitely vote for joining Russia,” the LPR leader added.
