In our bid to help enlighten both the government agencies charged with registration of National Identification Number (NIN) and members of the public who are largely our beloved readers and fans, we stumbled on a very important information to be shared to them.
We have come, by this discovery, to realise that so many Nigerians have NINs but are not aware.
“The truth is that everyone that did BVN when it was introduced in 2014 and January 2015 has NIN automatically assigned to them.
“Just dial *346# with the same number you registered for BVN and retrieve your NIN.
“Don’t go to NIMC centres to queue, Covid19 is real,” the source submitted.
What is however not clear to us is whether anyone who did BVN after the years stated above does not enjoy similar case.
Our advisory therefore is that, everyone with BVN and has not visited NIMC office physically to register and capture should try dialing *346# and see if NIN will be supplied.
