The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, lost his father in-law, Alhaji Abubakar Imam Galadanchi, last Saturday July 8, 2023.

Alhaji Galadanchi died in London after a protracted illness.

In the meantime, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, has condoled with the Sultan over the development.

“The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has sent a message of condolence to the Sultan. In the message, MURIC affirmed that although it is concerned by any tragedy that befalls Muslims, yet death is a necessary end and it must be accepted by devoted Muslims.

“The organisation prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased and to give all those bereaved by his death the fortitude to bear the loss,” statement said.

The DEFENDER reports that late Galadanchi was father to wives of Sultan of Sokoto and Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero.
