More helps for Gumi flood victims, as Hon Jaji nonates N10m, 200 bags of rice

A lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda Birnin Magaji federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, has donated N10 million to victims of the flood disaster in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
He also donated 200 bags of rice to be shared among the victims as part of the effort of relieve their suffering.
The donation was handed down to the Emir of Gumi, Retired Justice Lawal Hassan Gumi, on behalf of the lawmaker by Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Jaji faction, Mansur Khalifa Kaura.
Aminu Jaji, who is Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Funds, expressed sadness about the tragedy that rendered many residents homeless during the Friday August 16, 2024 incident.
“We are here in Gumi to commiserate with our brothers and sisters over the recent flood disaster that rendered many of you homeless,” Mansur Khalifa added.
“I am happy to announced donation of N10 million and 200 bags of rice to the victims aimed at providing emergency support to the victims of the disaster”.
“I am calling on the victims and people of Gummi local government to be patience, remain grateful to almighty God, and consider the disaster as a something destined by Allahu SWT”, Jaji added”.
Emir of Gumi Retired Justice Lawal Hassan, in his response, commended the lawmaker for the gesture saying, it will go a long way in cushioning the effects of the tragedy among the victims.
“This is timely, we appreciate Hon Aminu Sani Jaji for giving this Kind assistance to our people”.
He added that, the support from the lawmaker is a testimony that the lawmaker has shown a serious concern for the people of Gummi Emirate
He called on well-meaning individuals and political office holders to emulate Hon Jaji by always extending the gesture to the people at the grassroots.
