An early Sunday morning explosion rocked the Abule Ado community in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, along Badagry Expressway, Lagos State.

The pipeline explosion, which occured at about 8.55am this morning (Sunday March 15, 2020) saw many residents and Christian worshippers scamping for their lives.

According to eyewitness account, the explosion, caused by a tipper offloading sand which caught fire and which fire spread to the nearby pipeline area, affected the Omonile area of Ado Soba, where several lives and properties have been lost.

“Only last week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the Omonile had came with some policemen warning the traders in the area to leave to avert possible danger ahead. The traders left already before today’s incidence,” he said.

The DEFENDER reports that fire fighters arrived on time but that due to the depth of the ballistic fire incident, the number of lives and property lost was inevitable.
