League of Imams, Alfas congratulates new Chief Imam of Ilorin

The Registered League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States has congratulated the newly appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, on his appointment.
In a statement issued and signed by Al Imam Engr. Abdulhakeem Demola Raji, Grand Chief Imam of Sepeteri Land and Chairman Planning Committee of the League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, its leadership described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that it reflects the cleric’s learning, piety, exemplary character and dedication to the service of Islam and the Muslim Ummah.
The statement, jointly endorsed by members of the Executive Council, elders, scholars, imams and alfas of the organisation, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the appointment and prayed for divine guidance for the new Chief Imam as he assumes office.
The League further prayed that his tenure would foster unity, peace, progress and spiritual rejuvenation within the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and the wider Muslim community. It also urged that his leadership strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among Muslims and contribute positively to the growth of Islam.
The statement read in details: “The Executive Council, Elders, Scholars, Imams, Alfas, and the entire members of the Registered League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States heartily congratulate the newly appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin on his well-deserved appointment.
“This distinguished appointment is a reflection of your learning, piety, exemplary character, and dedication to the cause of Islam and the service of the Muslim Ummah. We thank Almighty Allah for this noble choice and pray that He grants you the wisdom, strength, sincerity, and foresight necessary to uphold the dignity and responsibilities of this esteemed office,” said the League.
The organisation offered prayers for past Chief Imams of Ilorin, asking Allah to forgive them and reward their services to Islam, while also praying for continued peace, harmony and prosperity in the Ilorin Muslim community.
“As you assume this sacred trust, we pray that Allah (SWT) makes your tenure a source of unity, peace, progress, and spiritual rejuvenation. May He guide your leadership, bless your efforts, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among Muslims, and make your service beneficial to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
“We also pray that Allah abundantly reward and forgive the past Chief Imams of Ilorin for their services to Islam and grant continued peace, harmony, and prosperity to the Ilorin Muslim community.
“Once again, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and pray that Allah grants Your Eminence success in this world and the Hereafter.
“Congratulations to the Chief Imam of Ilorin. May Allah grant him tawfīq, barakah, wisdom, and a successful tenure in the service of Islam and the Muslim Ummah. Āmīn.”
The League concluded by wishing the new Chief Imam a successful tenure marked by wisdom, divine support and blessings in the service of Islam and humanity.
