A notable Presidency official, Lauretta Onochie, has broken silence over incessant blame game, by no one else but some members of governing All Progressives Congress (APC), hurled at President Muhammadu Buhari for refusing to use Federal Might to coerce electorate in favour of their candidates at elections.
She said if the progressives had pushed Buhari fire to help them reconstruct Nigeria through electoral system where votes count, it is only fair that they do not now leave him alone to it as they currently do while he makes progress changing the old distasteful order for better.
The Digital and Social Media Aide to the President, Onochie, said her boss could not have used force to extract people’s electoral support because he is not Olusegun Obasanjo, who, interpretationally, was known for being President that made do-or-die voting official.
Speaking through her official Facebook handle on Tuesday, the body language expert schooled the intra-party critics that President Buhari is a democrat.
She noted that, “Those who insist that he should emulate Ex-Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo by MANIPULATING democratic processes, are members of ‘APDPC’.
“THEY POSE A DANGER TO OUR MATURING DEMOCRACY, AS WELL AS OUR NATIONAL WELL-BEING.
“They turn everything good in politics into monsters for their selfish gains.

Citing instances to back her defence of the President, Lauretta Onochie said Abu-Awlaad Idris Abdulkarim has explained it nicely when he said:
“UNLESS YOU’RE ADVOCATING FOR OPEN DICTATORSHIP AND IMPUNITY (SOMETHING WE ALL ABHORED AND DERIDED OBJ AND THE PDP FOR) – BLAME NOT BUHARI OVER THE LOSS OF EDO… TRUST ME – THE BIGGEST, MOST POTENT THREAT TO THE APC ISN’T THE PDP. IT ISN’T EVEN OBJ AND CO, THE ARCHITECTS OF NIGERIA’S DOWNFALL!
“THE BIGGEST, MOST POTENT THREAT TO THE APC TODAY IS THE EMERGENCE OF THE “APDPC”!!!” Abu-Awlaad Idris Abdulkarim was quoted to have said.
The Presidential Media Aide added, “Democracy is under reconstruction in Nigeria. Nigerians are delighted that votes now count. Even in the South South!
“All democrats understand this. Let’s all support the on-going reconstruction of our nation. It’s for our own good.
“God bless Nigeria,” she said.
