Supporters of Accord Party in Agege Constituency 01 Lagos have again complained against the incessant removal and covering of posters bearing campaign information of their Candidate for March Lagos State House of Assembly election, Hon. Jubril Abdulkareem, by supporters of All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate, Rt. Hon. Mudashir Obasa.

This was coming in furtherance to recent report by The DEFENDER in which Accord members in the area cried to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Edgal Imohimi, for help over what they said was ongoing plans by the Speaker to cause violence during the elections and plot incriminating offence against their candidate, Hon. Jubril Abdulkareem, to get him arrested ahead of time.

In the latest development, Obasa, who was earlier accused to have ordered his supporters to paste his posters on JUBI’s (Abdulkareem), was said to be at it for real as photographs of his boys were taken while pasting his APC posters on Accord Party’s posters with intent to cover from being seen.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr. Musbau Rasak, once denied same claims by Abdulkareem, who moved from APC to his new party due to unresolved grievances, saying his principal was never into anything near violence against anybody ahead of the elections as he said Obasa got his APC ticket on merit of his popularity in Agege Constituency 01.

Members of APC working for the Speaker were however said to have been caught lately while removing Abdulkareem’s posters in the Agege area.

The Accord Party supporters in Agege, who spoke to The DEFENDER on the development, confirmed that they actually took time to take photographs of the Obasa’s boys upon hearing they were pasting his posters on their candidate’s posters.

No comment had been obtained as at time of filing this report from the APC members in the area as none of those contacted was willing to talk due to violence that erupted at the ruling party’s campaign flag off in Lagos Tuesday.
