A right group and pro-democracy organization, the Royal Peoples Vanguard has expressed excitement about the recently commissioned Multi-Level Car Park and Facility building at Onikan, in the heart of Lagos metropolis.

The group in a statement signed by its Convener, Prince Dare Aladekoba and made available to the press Friday in Lagos enthused that, “gradually, Sanwo-Olu is moving majestically towards a second term in office from 2023,” stressing the need to retain a winning team.”

The statement gave kudos to the governor and his able lieutenants for doing a good job in the state with infrastructure that drive economy springing up throughout the corners of the state, saying, what the governor needs is more support and cooperation with his government to encourage him to go on and on.

While urging the governor to fix his eyes permanently on the ball, the statement reminded him of the axiom that, accolades earned for good job done is a clarion call to do more, admitting that, “so far so good, Sanwo-Olu’s administration is giving the good people of Lagos State reasons to be thankful to God for giving them a responsible and responsive administrator like Sanwo-Olu.”

The Onikan project, according to the organization, has confirmed to the people that the journey towards attaining the Mega City status is still in progress by the way Sanwo-Olu is going, stressing the need for the people to be appreciative of good governance being provided by the governor.

The group however has a word for the All Progressives Congress (APC), the political party that produced the governor in 2019 to be cautious in their next primaries not to make the mistake of replacing a winning team half way into the game, saying such a gamble could be dangerous and counter-productive.

“We are not unmindful of the fact that, Lagos State can boast of several capable materials that are eminently qualified to steer the ship of Lagos to the Promised Land across all the political parties. Our worry is that, if care is not taken, a certainty could be dropped for an uncertainty and therefore plunge the state into political chaos and economic disaster!” the statement warned.

The infrastructure the group is talking about is the Facility Building that has five car parking floors with a capacity of 384 vehicles that houses ticketing offices and rest rooms on each floor.

The sixth floor for multipurpose usage contains: A Club House, two Banquet Halls with 800 capacity each, a Water Treatment Plant, Elevators and staircases for smooth and easy pedestrian movement.
