Lagos 3rd Mainland Bridge tragedy claims retired Air Force Officer, Funso Martins’ life at prime

The death has been announced of a retired Air Vice Marshall of the Nigerian Air Force, Olufunso Martins.

He was said to have died as a result of a ghastly motor accident, which occurred on the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge, on Saturday.

Former Commander Corps of Ordnance Headquarters, Nigerian Army, Major General Abdullahi Adekunle Martins (Rtd), who is cousin to the late military top bras, confirmed this to The DEFENDER on Sunday.

In a one paragraph message relayed to this online medium by General Martins, he said: “So tragic, so sad. We lost my cousin, AVM Olufunsho Martins yesterday thru a 3rd Mainland Bridge accident. May the good Lord grant repose to the soul of the departed and give succour to the bereaved. He giveth and He taketh. But Lord, why do the good ones leave so early?”

The former Air Force officer was the founder and owner of Lagos popular hotel, event and hospitality centre, Agidingbi area in Ikeja, Martinos.
