The Ward 5 Etsako East Local Government Area of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Prince Kassim Afegbua, a former Commissioner in the state, as a member of the party for one month.

In a letter addressed to the state chairman through the Local Government chairman and dated 2nd August 2020, the ward executive evokes section 37 (3) of the party’s constitution 2017 as amended saying it is empowered by the section to suspend any member found guilty of anti-party activity under which Afegbua falls.

“The member of Ward 5 executive in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State whose name and signature appear under hereby pronounced the suspension of Prince Kassim Afegbua for a period of One Month starting from 2nd August 2020 to save the party from further damage by Prince Kassim Afegbua in the name of being a member of the party.

“Consequently by this notice of information, we call on every segment of the Party Local, State and National body of the party to seize all the party privilege and featuring of Prince Kassim Afegbua in any of the party activities henceforth,” the letter said.
