The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has said it has spent N60m on the repairs of 140 vandalized transformers.
The company’s Head of Operation and Maintenance, Engineer Abdullahi MurtalaHaruna, made the disclosure yesterday while conducting journalists round the repaired transformers.
Haruna, who explained that affected transformers comprised 200KVA, 300KVA and 500KVA, also said another set of 50 pieces of damaged transformers had been placed for repairs and that would cost the company no less than N40m.
