Iran denies involvement in reported Saudi oil field attack

In remarks to CNN, the senior Iranian official stated, “We are not responsible for the bombing of Saudi oil fields and we have informed our brothers in the Kingdom of this.”
Iran’s deputy foreign minister has rejected allegations that Tehran was behind a reported attack targeting Saudi oil facilities, as tensions continue to escalate across the Gulf region.
In remarks to CNN, the senior Iranian official stated, “We are not responsible for the bombing of Saudi oil fields and we have informed our brothers in the Kingdom of this.”
The comments follow reports from Saudi authorities that drones were intercepted near critical oil infrastructure in the eastern city of . Officials said debris from the intercepted drones caused a small fire, which was later brought under control. No casualties were reported.
Saudi Arabia has not publicly attributed responsibility for the incident.
The denial comes amid heightened diplomatic and military strain in the region, following recent U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iranian targets and warnings of possible retaliatory actions, raising concerns about further instability in the Gulf.
