*As Commander seeks collaboration with monarch on security

The Iralepo of Isinkan in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Barrister Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula, said plans are underway to establish post-services housing estate for officers and personnel of the 32 artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Akure.

The Isinkan monarch during a royal visit to the commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Brigadier General Mukhtar Adamu, on Tuesday, said finishing touches are being put into the plans.

Oba Olofin-Adimula said the estate being planned for Oke-ilero community in Isinkan would be on a large expanse of land.

“Nigerians are one no matter the state of origin. It is based on this that we are providing housing estate in conjunction with Private Developers for majorly Officers and Men of the 32 artillery Bridgade because we don’t want you to leave us.”

“The estate will be affordable and the project will be private sector driven. Isinkan is now your home. Come and subscribe” the Oba Urged.

Oba Olofin-Adimula who noted that the Nigerian military is one of the largest uniformed combat services in Africa states further that “If we resolve our nagging differences, our military is potentially the most powerful military in Africa, and one of the highly ranked internationally.”

“Of course, I am not unaware of the challenges being faced by the Nigerian Army. Yet, it is commendable  that you have never allowed these challenges to weigh you down as you and your men have continued to perform your constitutional duties effectively.”

“I will like to extol the resilience, commitment, doggedness and courage of the men and women of this Brigade and others in the Nigerian Army in handling the menace of insurgency. Your effort has consequently brought relative peace to the nooks and crannies of the nation and allow the civilian leadership to embark on tremendous infrastructural development nationally and within our state.”

“I urge you to remain focused, steadfast and not relent toward achieving the desired end of peaceful co existence.”

The Iralepo who noted the remarkable achievement of the 10th commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade assured him of the support and cooperation of Isinkan kingdom.

The Commander, 32 Artillery Bridage, Brigadier General Mukhtar Adamu applauded the Isinkan community for the estate initiative and the idea to cement the nation as one.

He said he would educate his troops about the scheme and ensure they subscribe to it.

Brigadier General Adamu called for more support and collaborative efforts from traditional rulers in the state for sustaining and improving on relative peace in the state.

“The miscreants live within us. I  urge the traditional rulers to always volunteer information about those threatening the peacetime Army General said.
