Nigerian Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who is behind Nnamdi Kanu’s jumping of bail while on trials for treason in Nigeria, has come open once again to speak on insecurity blaming it on President Muhammadu Buhari.

He slammed President Buhari’s handling of the nation’s insecurity, saying nobody takes him seriously not even the service chiefs.

Senator Abaribe stood surety for Nnamdi Kanu, leader of terrorist Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to be released from prison while standing trials over treasonable offence only for him to fail to produce the suspect but, along with other members of IPOB, hide under a military Exercise PYTHON DANCE to impress on the nation that only the Nigerian Army could tell about whereabouts of the terrorist leader.

Our findings later revealed that Abaribe along with some other accomplices aided Kanu’s jumping of bail and escaping from the country while still accusing the Army over his whereabouts. Some watchers of events blame President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to have arrested the likes of Abaribe who, instead of explaining how they connived to aide what is today constituting insecurity in the South East with IPOB killing security agents and burning down security facilities, still have the temerity to come out and blame the President for the evils they promote.

Mr. Oba Adetoye, earlier before Abaribe’s outing on ChannelsTV Wednesday, ventilated – on TVC’s Journalists’ Hangout programme – his disagreement with the report about President, now or in the past, “talking tough to service chiefs over insecurity”, saying, “we have heard enough of talking tough. We want to see working the talk,” saying since they know the people who are in one way or the other connected with the insecurity, they do not need to talk about how they know them but about what they have done to them.

A respondent told us that it was because of failure of President Buhari to have arrested the likes of Abaribe for frustrating the trials of Nnamdi Kanu with a view to unravelling how he escaped from the country that he still has the mouth to blame him.

Abaribe, while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, stated that President Buhari is not taken seriously by anybody and so that it would matter not to him to do so.

“Why would we take him (President Muhammadu Buhari) seriously? Just the day after he had said we would no longer accept all these kidnappings, this would be the last, they kidnapped the last day,” he said.

“And those people are still there; those innocent Nigerians are still in captivity up till now. He always makes a statement. Every time these things happen, nothing happens. So it is obvious nobody takes him seriously with that. Even the military chiefs, I don’t think they bother themselves.

“This is about the umpteenth time that we are hearing the President giving a marching order. Throughout the Buratai time as the Chief of Army Staff, he was always giving marching orders so he has given just another one.”

The Senate Minority Leader spoke on the ground of discourse that Nigeria has been experiencing a series of security threats ranging from terrorism, banditry, militancy, cultism among others in several parts of the country.

The country has been battling terrorism in parts of the country and Abaribe’s South East is not excluded.
