INSECURITY: 2 expatriates kidnapped, 4 soldiers killed in Rivers

Four soldiers belonging to the Nigerian Army lost their lives, on Tuesday, after their convoy came under attack along Ahoada/Abua end of the East-West Road in Rivers State.

Two expatriates working with Daewoo Company were also kidnapped by the attackers and there whereabouts still remains unknown.

Also, two civilian drivers in the convoy unfortunately lost their lives during the daredevil attack by the gunmen at about 9:30 am.

The Six Division, Nigeria Army has reportedly confirmed the attack and the killing of the soldiers.

The acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations of the Six Division, Major Jonah Danjuma, in a statement Tuesday evening said the troops were men of the Five Battalion.
