IMRAN SHITTU: Fidau prayers hold Saturday – Family

The family of late Alhaji Imran Shittu Awosanya has announced Saturday 27 July 2019 as Day of Prayers for the departed former Lenards Industries Limited official.

This is according to a statement Thursday by the eldest of the seven surviving children, Hajia Basirat Shittu-Adefaka, Manager Administration of The DEFENDER and daughter-in-law of the Galadima of Akure, Alhaji Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka.

According to Basirat, there will be no celebration but simply Fidau prayers for the repose in Al-Jannah soul of the Iperu Remo, Ogun State-born late Imam of Olorunkemi Mosque, Ikotun, Lagos.

Alhaji Imran Awosanya died on Saturday 20 July 2019 at the age of 76.

He has since been buried at the Muslim Cemetery Isasi, Ojo, Lagos.

Many sympathisers who have paid condolences to the late Muslim leader include pioneer Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo, Prof. Fola Lasis, former Deputy Governor of Ogun State and Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, the Attah and Paramount Ruler of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, Oba AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, a Presidency official and President Muslim Media practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), Alhaji Abdulrahman Balogun, and many journalists from across the country.

Also, Brigadier General Abdullahi Ibrahim of Operation Lafia Dole, Maiduguri paid condolences to The DEFENDER Newspaper family over the death of its Manager’s father.
