*Flags off entrepreneur scheme for Police Secondary Schools across Nigeria

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, on Monday June 20, 2022, commissioned the newly completed Police Basic School, Dei-Dei, Abuja.

The police top bras also conducted the flag-off of the Strategic Innovation on Compulsory Entrepreneural Scheme in all Police Secondary Schools across Nigeria, during the commissioning ceremony of the basic school located in M.D. Abubakar Barracks in the Abuja Municipal Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The DEFENDER had on May 11, 2022 reported that Commissioner of Police (Education), Force Headquarters, CP Rabi Umar, on Tuesday May 10, embarked on inspection tour of the police school under construction at the same location.

She was accompanied by over 17 commandants of all the Nigeria Police Secondary Schools in the country on the official inspection of the long building of 14 classrooms and over five offices for teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.

The inspection visit saw leadership offered by the Inspector General of police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, being eulogised by residents of the Dei Dei community, who sent their goodwill messages and prayers to the IGP through the CP Education, Rabi Umar.

This newspaper had reported that the administration of IGP Usman had made a great deal of progress in repositioning the police in Nigeria and that the contribution he had made through education development is one.

The Police Basic School, Dei Dei, Abuja will take children through the six years primary education and three years of Junior Secondary School system.

Asides academic activities, the Strategic Innovation on Compulsory Enterpreneural Scheme established by the IGP Baba’s administration is to ensure that any product of police basic school anywhere in Nigeria also learn a skill that will benefit him even as he continues his educational pursuit either in the outside world or up to the police academy.
