By the time the new Local Government Area elections of 2020 in Lagos State will be set to hold, indications are beginning to prove that Ward B of Agege Constituency 01 in the state political arrangement will have no better candidate for its Councillorship position than Honourable Muiz Olawale Igbin.

To find out why, The DEFENDER visited the ward and was awash with several of such approvals across the Ward signaling that “Igbin is the Man Coming Next” and this same chorus was sounded into our ears during the visit that took us from Onipetesi Close, Idimangoro, Onipetesi Ajakaye Street also at Idimangoro through Arigidi Street to Elicana Street, Sule Street, Sonaiya Street, Cement Bus Stop axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway to Adegbite Close and Alhaji Yusuf Street, Shomorin Street all of which are in the Dopemu area of the Agege Constituency 01 in Agege Local Government Area of the state.

In his statement, Muiz Igbin, whose campaign slogan is “United we stand”, promised to become Councillor of Ward B in the Agege Constituency 01 area for effective representation at the Council in 2020.

He said: “I am ready to unite Ward B Agege and submit myself to the people, give regard to the leaders and show humility towards the elders.  I will be honest and be ready at all times to be within the reach of members of the community” because, he said there will be no justification for being representative of his people if he is not going to be reachable.

Muiz Olawale Igbin gave a philosophical comment, “Change will not come if we continue to wait for somebody else or wait for some other time.  We are the change we seek and the time is now!”, he said borrowing from Barack Obaba, immediate past President of the United States of America.

In the meantime, one of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege Local Government, who confided to The DEFENDER during the visit, said, “There is no problem with Muiz Igbin.  He is our man and we love him,” he said.  He however said, “He will show interest like he has done and some other people will still come out.  Let them continue to come out but we know that Igbin that we have, is not an unknown talking about good character.  I wish him well and succeed with huge success.
