Giving the assurances while speaking further, President Muhammadu Buhari directed the nation’s Armed Forces and other security services to deal decisively with any person or group undermining efforts at achieving sustainable peace, security and stability in the country, assuring that the country will ultimately defeat the forces of evil..

“Nigeria shall win the battle over evil.”

The President told the monarch that he was in the Seat of Caliphate to pay condolence visit to him, the governor and people of the state over the recent sad events, and also to commission development, particularly the BUA’s three million metric tonnes per annum Line 4 Sokoto Cement Plant. He then called for traditional rulers’ continued support for his administration to succeed.

Responding, the Sultan commended the President on efforts on governance and assured him that his traditional leadership would continue to give him the necessary support he requires to succeed, even as he prayed for him and other leaders of state to succeed.
