The Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has denied condemning the recent suspension of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Onnoghen.
Mrs Buhari in a statement through her Director of Information, Mallam Suleiman Haruna, on Sunday in Abuja, described the news making rounds that she condemned Onnoghen’s removal as fake.
“The attention of wife of the President has been drawn to a post on social media to the effect that she condemned the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
“It is important to inform Nigerians that wife of the President has not made any public statements on the matter and therefore the commentary is untrue and fake.
“This is highly condemnable and we therefore advise the purveyors of such news to recant and desist henceforth,” the statement added.
It would be recalled that the former CJN was suspended by the Federal Government following a recommendation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
The suspension order was executed to enable the tribunal hear and determine the allegations of false asset declarations filed against Onnoghen by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCT).
In the meantime, The DEFENDER was forced to investigate into why Mrs Buhari has been on the bad side of the media, despite that she has been so careful in talking, which is interpreted in the course of our investigations as not to talk anyhow like her predecessor, Patience Jonathan who eventually was heavily criticized for taking most decisions constitutionally expected of the President, Goodluck Jonathan.
As at the time of filing this report, no concrete information had been gathered other than some people are trying hard to penetrate the window on the side of the wife or any member of the family, to get at the President Muhammadu Buhari, is now harder on corrupt elements in all strata of the country as well as on their foreign collaborators.

A respondent however advised the wife of the President, Aisha, on what to do to save herself and the Buhari’s family of the media embarrassment that is now apparent.
“I observe this Wife of the President does not like to talk to press but I want to advise her that she cannot take all members of the press as total enemies likewise as friends. She has a handler who is in the capacity of a director in the service and is a quality based experienced journalist. So long she wants to continue to act like a great woman behind the success of her husband, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, need to rearrange herself and let her media and publicity director get her friends among the many controversial media who will save her of an impending media embarrassment which, obviously, has now started,” the responded told TheDEFENDER in Lagos.
