Gov Yusuf swears-in 13th Kano Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn-in the recently appointed Head of Civil Service of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, with a charge to discharge his duties diligently and with fear of Allah.

Giving the charge during the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House Friday, the governor said that the appointment of Musa was based on merit, considering his track records of achievements in various positions he held as a seasoned civil servant and administrator.

Speaking to the newsmen shortly after the swearing-in, the new Head of Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, expressed gratitude to Almighty for making it possible for the governor to appoint him in that position.

According to a statement by Aliyu Yusuf, Director Public Enlightenment Government House, Kano, dated 1st December 2023, Musa said that the appointment was indeed an honour to him, stressing that with the confidence reposed in him by the governor, he would do all his best possible in moving the state civil service to a greater heights.

“As the 13th Head of Service of Kano state, I am not going to make promises for now but what I intend to do is to go back to the basics,” Alhaji Abdullahi Musa maintained.

While praying to Allah to give him the strength and wisdom to carry out his duties, the Head of service said that he will invibe the good attitudes of the governor for ensuring goodies to the state civil service and the the state by extension, calling for support and cooperation of the teaming civil servants in the state.

It could be recalled that as a seasoned Civil servant and administrator, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa had served in various capacities in the state service, prominently among them were as Permanent Secretary in the State Council Affairs Directorate, Permanent Secretary at the Servicom Directorate and a Permanent Secretary Government House, Kano among others.
