Former Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), has described the Publisher of The DEFENDER Newspaper Nigeria, Prince Bashir Adefaka, as a young Nigerian who has, through hard work, earned a good name for himself in the journalism profession.

Olanrewaju, a former General Officer Commanding Third Mechanised Division Nigerian Army, made this description in a statement he issued on behalf of himself, his good wife, Chief Oluyemisi Olanrewaju and family. congratulating the publisher on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary, on Saturday September 3, 2022.

From the tone of the statement sent via WhatsApp, General Olanrewaju, also a former Deputy Defence Adviser to Nigerian President in Moscow, Russia, may have found the occasion of the golden jubilee as yet another opportunity to appreciate a Journalist he has treated as son for many years by speaking glowingly on how Adefaka has made trust his strength in the noble profession.

“You have been a wonderful friend and have worked hard to achieve a good name for yourself in the journalism profession.

“You have stood up to be counted when good men in your media trade are being celebrated. You write with candour and make trust your strength.

“Your background as a man of Muslim faith has propelled you to demonstrate a strong and positive attitude towards your work and humanity.
