FBI RECORDS: Tinubu at point of impossible cover-up, as Primate Ayodele says: “One million lawyers cannot stop US”

Many that have spoken on the matter, especially those trying to hide behind Tinubu’s insistence on privacy, have said the president should stop blocking revelation of those records of him and let Nigerians see the evidence and judge for themselves.
Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele has stirred Nigeria’s political space with a fresh warning concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and an unidentified document he claims could be made public.
Ayodele, according to video sighted by The DEFENDER, said, “Tinubu, that document is true. You can’t defend it. One million lawyers cannot defend you. They can only expose you. So, it’s up to you to know what to do to defend yourself. You know what to do or you slow it to happen and it will expose you more.
“The document is real. Nothing but the truth. It is real. Anybody defending you must be a lawyer, not your aids. Your aids cannot defend you and you are the only one who can defend yourself.
“As it is, if the judgement comes out, Tinubu, you will go and this can sink you. And it will bring a big embarrassment and will give America power to oppress you,” Ayodele warned.
The statement has generated questions over the identity and contents of the document, although there is no independent evidence in the statement establishing the allegation or confirming what document Ayodele was referring to.
The cleric has yet to publicly provide details of the alleged document or substantiate the factual basis of his claim.
His comments have nevertheless renewed calls for transparency, particularly whenever allegations concerning public officials and matters of potential public interest emerge.
Political observers say the appropriate response to such claims should be the presentation and examination of verifiable evidence rather than reliance on rumours, counter-allegations or partisan interpretations.
If the document exists and is authentic, questions could arise over its contents and relevance. If it is fabricated, those promoting it could be challenged with evidence demonstrating its falsity.
Tinubu, as President of Nigeria, remains subject to democratic scrutiny, including scrutiny of matters concerning his public record and official conduct. However, allegations against him or any other public official should be distinguished from established facts unless supported by credible evidence.
The controversy also places political pressure on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), whose supporters and critics have continued to trade competing narratives over allegations concerning the President.
While lawyers and government spokespersons may respond to allegations, the ultimate resolution of factual disputes depends on credible and independently verifiable evidence.
Ayodele’s latest comments should therefore be treated as an allegation requiring substantiation, rather than proof of wrongdoing.
The central unanswered question remains: What document was Ayodele referring to, and what evidence supports his claim that it is genuine?
