Former Governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Bala James Ngilari, says the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa is dead and that it will be buried in 2023.

Bala said he identified himself with the laudable objectives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and remained loyal to a particular party since 1999 but for him to change a party now there must be very good and compelling reasons to do so.

According to him, PDP is dead and he cannot identify himself with a dying horse as APC is a party to be.

“If you are a nationalist and you want Nigeria to move to the next level, APC is the future of the country and you must join the party because there are contradictions in PDP that made the party arrived at the graveyard,” Ngilari said

The former Governor, while receiving a broom, signposting his leaving the PDP and being received by APC interim North East national vice chairman, Prof Mamman Tahir at the party office in Yola, said who-is-who in party politics in Adamawa state is ninety percent in APC that’s one of the reasons he dumped PDP to the opposition party in the state.

Bala taunted the PDP in Adamawa of not having grassroots politicians but wishes anyone in the party well as he chooses APC to take Adamawa to the next level for the future of the younger generation

Disturbed at the rate of unemployment ranging the national, Nggilari said that PDP is stil, not an alternative party that holds the future of Nigeria.

He called on Youth to venture into information technology as the next industrial revolution is in IT and Agriculture.

While calling on leaders to invest in human capital, he revealed that former Governor Murtala Nyako who was his deputy Governor was a man with the vision of developing people.

Ngilari said Nyako’s tenure was focused on the Youth of Adamawa State where he constructed and opened German skills acquisition centers and thousands of them were trained and empowered as artisans, technicians, and farmers.

He said the country is sitting on a timing bomb if there are not serious people in government who can change the dimensions of the country because the youth will later decide the destiny of the Nation.

When contacted the PDP organizing Secretary in the state, Alhaji Hamza Madagali after several calls put through his lines without picking an SMS sent thus:

“PDP is a dead party in Adamawa says Bala James Nggilari. Can you respond to his assertion?”
