The #ENDSARS protesters have broken into the Benin Prisons located along Benin-Sapele road, Benin, Edo State,  setting all the inmates free.

With the jail break on Monday, earlier reports are justified that the protesters are not about SARS but about some hidden hands seeking the anomalies of the police officers and men to actualise their ulterior motives.

The protesters were seen and heard publicly chanting the slogan ‘Buhari Must Go’.

It will be recalled the protesters, for the same purpose, attempted to assassinate the Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, on Saturday despite that he took some walk to identify with them, as he sang and addressed them. He escaped death by the whiskers.

On similar instance, Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, also escaped death by the protesters in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital same day.

The DEFENDER reports that failure of public officials to make institutions of state serve the people as constitutionally engendered is responsible for why youths took to the streets.

It is no longer news that civil service in Nigeria is said to be the most corrupt where Nigerians now feel unsecured in terms of access to basic needs of life. Nigerians are not happy that they have to get out of the country to be educated, have healthcare, and live as proper persons.

It was however also gathered that attitude of the people, being governed, also play huge part in the problem as many Nigerians are more inclined towards disobedience to rule of law and loyalty to the country than they claim.

A parent complained recently where in a Local Government Secretariat in Lagos, N6,000 was collected by government official to be issued National ID Card.
