As the Lt. General TY Buratai-led Nigerian Army shows more strengths against the hitherto ravaging insecurity elements in North East and North West, more eminent citizens across endeavours have continued to show their solidarity with the force.

This is as the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai received His Royal Highness Dr Ibrahim Bello, the Emir of Gusau, as a Special Guest of Honour at the Nigerian Army Special Super Camp 4 Faskari, in Katsina State on Friday August 14, 2020.

was part of the efforts by the Nigerian Army to defeat banditry in the North West, and in the spirit of Civil-Military Cooperation, the Acting Director of Army Public Relation, Colonel Sagir Musa said in a statement obtained by The DEFENDER.

“On arrival, the Emir was respectfully treated to a royal salute at the Quarter Guard, from where he was led to listen to information and Operations briefs about the exercise at the Information Center and Operations Room respectively,” the statement said.

While making his brief remarks at the occasion, General Buratai said, “Your Royal Highness, we invited you here to directly see what we are doing, our level of preparations, commitment and zeal as well as to reassure you and the good people of Gusau Emirate that the Nigerian Army is capable of combating/overcoming the security challenges in the North West.

“We will continue to partner with you and seek for your support and prayers to defeat the security challenges,” the Army top bras said.

On his part, the Emir of Gusau Dr Ibrahim commended personnel of the Nigerian Army for the successes recorded within a short period of time.

He further stated that, ”As the saying goes – seeing is believing, I want to state that I am proud of you, I appreciate you all and more grease to your elbows.

“As royal fathers, we will continue to encourage you, pray for you so that you succeed in your onerous responsibilities to the nation. I have seen your organization, level of preparation, hardwork and commitment, so i urged you to do more,” the Gusau monarch said.
