El-Rufai shares photos of reunion with old boys, girls at Harvard

Former Governor of Kaduna State and one time Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has shared  photos of a reunion of him and other alumni of Harvard Kennedy School (HKS), United States of America, which happened at the weekend.

Revered for his brilliance and commitment to excellence in governance, the former Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprises, who left the seat of government (in former capital of Northern Region) as Governor of Kaduna State, has continued to be relevant force in the powerplay corridor of world’s most populous black nation.

According to a post on his Facebook social media network picked by The DEFENDER on Sunday May 19, 2024, the eloquent yet sharp speaking Harvard alumnus showed enthusiasm that resides in meeting old friends again.

“REUNION WEEKEND@HARVARD KENNEDY SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT – Day 2: The fun, hugs, stories and reconnections with my classmates continued today at HKS. Everyone, except the ladies, has grown older. Everyone, including the men, has grown wiser. It is great to see old friends again after some 15 years. – Nasir @elrufai”.

Harvard Kennedy School (HKS), officially the John F. Kennedy School of Government, is the school of public policy and government of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The school offers master’s degrees in public policy, public administration, and international development, four doctoral degrees, and various executive education programs.

It conducts research in subjects relating to politics, government, international affairs, and economics.

As of 2021, HKS had an endowment of $1.7 billion.

It is a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), a global consortium of schools that trains leaders in international affairs.

In the meantime, his son and Federal Lawmaker, Muhammad Bello El-Rufai, has publicly voiced out his joy of being son of his father.

He said in comment section, “There is no greater honour than being your son Baba.”

Still on El-Rufai’s post, one Comr AbuSadiq Aso said to the former Governor’s son, “Bello El-Rufai I have been following and studying you judiciously and I found you to have similar characteristics of emulation how I wish you ll come to Suleja Emirate and represent us for only one year sir so we could also feel the positive impact of a good house of reps.”

Comr Suleiman Idris Bajeh, in his own comment, said, “Nasir El-Rufai I personally missed your outstanding performances in terms of leadership and infrastructural development. I wish you all the best in your studies. God bless you sir. I’m anticipating your declaration comes 2027. Kindly liaise with your likes including and deliver us Insha’Allah.”
