Delta State Immigration Comptroller visits Commissioner of Police

The visit underscores the continued partnership between the Police and Immigration Service in addressing emerging security challenges and promoting public safety in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, on Tuesday June 23, 2026, received the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Delta State Command, C.I. Christiana Solo-Akora, and members of her management team on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Asaba.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Bright Edafe, the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two security agencies, enhancing intelligence sharing, and discussing strategies to improve security and border management across the state.
Speaking during the visit, CP Oyeniyi commended the Nigeria Immigration Service for its vital contributions to national security and effective border control.
He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Delta State Police Command to sustaining strong inter-agency cooperation with sister security agencies in the collective effort to protect lives and property and maintain peace and security throughout Delta State.
