“Neither The DEFENDER nor Prince Adefaka is online with anybody,” management of the media organisation refuted.

Nigeria’s multi-lingual online newspaper, The DEFENDER, has reported a strange person using either the name of the newspaper or that of its publisher, Prince Bashir Adefaka, to call people claiming he is online with them.

“Neither The DEFENDER nor Prince Adefaka is online with anybody,” management of the media organisation refuted.

On Monday morning, using a phone number: 09066048792, the suspected criminal called the wife of a Retired General of the Nigerian Army whose family takes the publisher as member of its household and told her “Prince Adefaka” was online with her.

In the meantime, management of Defender Media Limited, publishers of The DEFENDER Newspaper (Online), has taken a swift measure by reporting to appropriate military, security and intelligence authorities.

In a message by the publisher, he said, “I suspect security breach and want it investigated to the bottom.

“This morning, he called the wife of a Retired General that I know very well and told her “Prince Adefaka” was online with her.

“The Mummy said she knew the voice was not mine and gave the number to her husband to let me know.

“I am wider in my thought about this because, The DRFENDER, like you know, is a reserved paper for the defence of truth and national integrity with a place for the arm3d forces, security and intelligence agents protection, and so we cannot leave anything chance. Kindly help me take action,” he said.
