Defence Industry to commence productions of military hardwares – Minister

The Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Kaduna is to commence productions of military equipments and hard wares soon.

This was disclosed by Minister of State for Defence, Bello matawalle, while speaking to journalists in his country home in Maradun over the weekend. He said president Bola Ahmad Tinubu has just signed a bill to that effect.

He further disclosed that the industry would under go total transformation to meet international standards.

Bello matawalle said when fully operational as directed by Mr president it would manufacture all the military needed in terms of weaponry and hardware to fight all sorts of criminality in the country.

He said recently, he had visited Turkey to inspect some of the military equipment ordered from there to sustain the fight against banditry and criminality in the country which some has already been delivered.

He said the present administration is determined to provide all the need of the military in all the areas that would make their job easier

He said very soon the defense headquarters would under take tour of all the theater commands in the country with a view of assessing their needs and requirements for effective operation and service delivery In line with renewed hope of president Bola Ahmad Tinubu

He appeal to the security agencies to reciprocate the government efforts by professionally adhering to their ethics and called on the general public to assist the security agencies by providing them with useful information.
