Daniel Bwala, Spokesman for Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council, on Monday, made a statement that revealed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a political group that favours Nigeria’s return to Western hegemony.
He made this statement by saying the United States of America has assured his political group that it will ensure free, fair and credible election exercise in the 2023 process.
By Bwala’s revelation, all efforts being made by President Muhammadu Buhari both at governmental, security and electoral umpire levels paced to nothing as the President’s antecedents of conducting successful elections, either general or solo, since 2015 would mean nothing to his party until such assurances came from United States of America, a country that, many have said, has been fingered in many plots to worsen economic and security in that same country his party now seeks to rule from next year.
This was happening seven years after President Buhari took the country out of such unfriendly foreign control that is generally believed to have killed the nation’s chances of growth through misadvised supposed World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s globalisation and privatisation that only saw the nation’s critical assets fall into wrong hands of people believed to be working for them, only to kill the nation’s economy and subject Africa’s most populous country to loan slavery so as to push it at the mercy of the West.
Bwala made the revelation when he featured on a Channels Television’s interview programme Monday morning saying his party leaders were in United States holding talks with bodies in the Western leading country over 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
Asked why PDP leaders had to be holding talks in America when they should be on ground here in Nigeria, Daniel Bwala, who left All Progressives Congress (APC) recently only on the basis of his opposition to Muslim-Muslim ticket and who refused to be limited to why he is now attacking everything about APC programmes that he had nothing against before, could not give exact justification.
Rather, he appeared to make it clear that the only confidence his party has in the coming transition is in the fact that United States of America has assured them that it will ensure free, fair and credible election in the 2023 general elections that will not be conducted by US President Joe Biden by by President Muhammadu Buhari on the soil of Nigeria.
It will be recalled that the backwardness that Nigeria had suffered before 2015 is linked to West-afflicted death of national carrier, crude oil refineries, railways, Ajaokuta Steel and Rolling Industry and Cotton-Textile-Garment value chain of the economy, which has been been negatively impacting the nation’s currency and pegging it at the mercy of the Dollar.
President Buhari, when he came in 2015 decided to say no to monopolised foreign partnership that does not work for the national interest of Nigeria, it was gathered.
We gathered further that the President then polarised the foreign development partnership police, which, we were told, has seen Nigeria now growing and moving forward, despite plots by the same West to collapse the country either by proxy or all kinds of methods, “simply because the New Sheriff in town insisted on Nigeria producing what it needs and no longer going to be a consuming society.”
