CUSTOMS RECRUITMENT: NCS fixes screening, documentation for shortlisted candidates

“Failure to appear as scheduled may lead to disqualification from the recruitment process,” the Service warned.
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the schedule for the physical screening and documentation of successful candidates shortlisted for its ongoing recruitment exercise.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Dr. Abdullahi Maiwada, a Deputy Comptroller of Customs, the exercise will be held at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The Service directed all shortlisted candidates to appear at the venue with the original and photocopies of their required documents.
The documents include the National Identification Number (NIN), original birth certificate or declaration of age, and educational certificates, including O’Level, ND, HND, degree or other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also required to present a Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed Guarantor’s Form and an NYSC certificate, where applicable.
The NCS directed candidates to wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes for the physical screening exercise.
It stressed that candidates must report only on the date assigned to their respective states and cadres, warning that attendance is compulsory.
“Failure to appear as scheduled may lead to disqualification from the recruitment process,” the Service warned.
The NCS said candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation would receive further instructions concerning subsequent stages of the recruitment exercise.
The Service, under the leadership of Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, assured candidates and the public that the recruitment process would remain transparent, fair and merit-based.
The NCS also urged applicants to rely solely on its official communication channels for authentic information concerning the screening and documentation exercise.

SCHEDULE OF PHYSICAL SCREENING AND DOCUMENTATION EXERCISE FOR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ENLISTED INTO NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE
1. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to inform all successful candidates who applied for recruitment into the Service that the physical screening and documentation exercise is scheduled to take place at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
2. Furthermore, all shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the screening and documentation exercise with the original and photocopies of the following documents: National Identification Number (NIN); original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age; and educational certificate(s), including O’Level, ND, HND, Degree or other applicable qualifications.
