*Why I wrote FBI, he said in April

American psychologist and retired mental health counselor, Dr. Jeffrey Guterman, has jeered at Nigerians after the Chicago State University (CSU) Monday evening released the academic records pertaining to “Bola A. Tinubu”.

The documents spawned a lot of hot topics alongside questions on why the certificate submitted by President Bola Tinubu to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is different from the one released by the American institution.

The documents also show that Tinubu’s certificate released by CSU was awarded to a mame that, by a social security number, has now been reported to be of a woman going by record tendered from Southwest College.

Aside from this, the freshly released documents have different signatures and logo from the one purportedly owned by President Tinubu.

Reacting to this, Dr. Jeffrey Guterman made a post on his verified X handle with the message: “BREAKING: Bola A. Tibubu is the first female President of Nigeria.”

He also wrote, “Carl Westberg of CSU said in a deposition that a replacement copy of the diploma certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC was not from the Institution.”

He had earlier wrote that, “The CSU documents released yesterday are confusing. Tinubu is listed as female. Logos on his diploma were released after his degree was supposedly conferred. To compound the confusion, much of Nigeria’s media is ignoring the discrepancies in its reporting.”

Dr. Guterman also responded to Tinubu’s aide, Temitope Ajayi’s X post where he tried to defend his principal while blaming the opposition leader that fought to get to the root of his years-long controversial Chicago State University certificate saga.

Ajayi had said, “For me, the issue is not whether President Tinubu graduated from Chicago State University or not. It is the fact that former Vice President Atiku is not a decent man.

“Nobody should subject his or her friend to the level of assault and indignity he has subjected President Tinubu to because of earthly position and contestation for power.

“We are talking of a Tinubu that had moved mountains for Atiku in the past. A Tinubu that offered Atiku a shelter when he was thoroughly beaten by rain and stripped naked by President Obasanjo and his party PDP in 2007.

“No friend should become what Ekiti people call ‘aleni mo deyin’, a relentless pursuer like former VP Atiku regardless of the prize!”

But the American, who has now blamed US President Joe Biden for congratulating Tinubu on election victory without verifying his personality, took him up:

Other post Guterman madevon his X handle on Wednesday:

It will be recalled that the American psychologist had in April this year reportedly filed a request to the Federal Bureau of Intelligence (FBI), asking it to release its file on Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Tinubu.

Guterman wrote the FBI as Tinubu was entangled in massive opposition by Nigerian politicians, lawyers and civil society activists, who insisted that he should not be inaugurated on May 29 unless all disputes surrounding its declaration by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as winner of the February 25 election in Africa’s most populous country.

The information Guterman was asking the FBI to release was related to Tinubu’s $460,000 forfeiture on a drug trafficking case he had in the United States of America in 1993, after he had served as Senator in the Military President Ibrahim Babangida-led Third Republic that was later botched with the annulment of June 12, 1993 presidential election won by Alhaji MKO Abiola.

That year was also six years before the return of democracy and Tinubu became governor of Nigeria’s all-time economic nerve centre, Lagos State.

Taking to his verified Twitter now X handle on Thursday April 20, the mental health counsellor, Jeffrey Guterman, disclosed that he had filed an expedited request because of Tinubu’s reported drug trafficking.

According to him, Tinubu’s reported drug trafficking case is a threat to the public.

He wrote, “I just sent a request to the @FBI to release their file on Bola Tinubu based on the U.S. Freedom of Information Act.”

It would also be recalled that after days of denials, then Tinubu’s campaign media handlers later admitted existence of such drug case but, at the election tribunal later, he caused his lawyers to argue that the drug case in US court, which they first said was not criminal but civil case, was not enforceable in Nigeria.

On the basis of that argument, the five-man panel of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) in Abuja dismissed the ase in its September 6 much hyped 12-hour judgment that has failed to solve the February 25 election imbroglio till date.
