At least one hundred and three freshers have benefitted from scholarship into Crescent University, Abeokuta for the 2021/2022 academic session, as 623 new students were matriculated to study various courses of their choice at undergraduate level.

Of the total, seventy-three students clinched My Dream Scholarship (MDS) of the Rosula Foundation, the brainchild of a philanthropist, Dr (Mrs) Rosemary Osula Mku-Atu.

Another set of 30 students also benefitted from the Bola Ajibola scholarship for academic and moral excellence, a Corporate Social Responsibility of the university founder.

In his matriculation address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila lauded the philanthropic gesture of Dr Osula Mku-Atu, saying her MDS was the highest individual scholarships to the university in the last seventeen years.

Gbajabiamila stressed that the university management was particularly grateful for Rosula Foundation’s sponsorship of 20 orphans out of the total 73 awards.

He also acknowledged the support of Ibeji Foundation for its sponsorship of indigent but brilliant students and its recent Memorandum of Understanding with the department of mass mommunication of the university.

A total of six hundred and twenty-three students were admitted into Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW), College of Arts Social and Management Sciences (CASMAS); Natural and Applied Sciences (CONAS); Information and Communication Technology(CICOT); Environmental Sciences(COES) and College of Health Sciences (COHES) respectively.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Proprietor, His Excellency, Prince Bola Ajibola, to the stakeholders for their trust “in sending their wards to this university”, Prof. Gbajbiamila said ” we want to assure you all that the authorities of the university will continue to ensure an all-round university education delivery to all our students”.
