Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua, Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and currently Acting Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has been described as a true son of the soul that means well about contributing his quota to bettering the the affairs of the oil rich region.

As a director and patriotic insider at the NDDC, Engr Audu-Ohwavborua was said not to be a mismatch as most senior officer in the Commission when he took over the reigns of affairs of the transformational institution upon approval of President Muhammadu Buhari recently, upon termination of the appointment of Mr Effiong Okon Akwa as the Interim Administrator of the NDDC.

Concerned citizens, who spoke to The DEFENDER in Lagos about the confidence in the new Acting MD, expressed that for the time he has to head the Commission, Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua has the capacity, having started well, to end well.

“We therefore urge support for him to have a successful tenure no matter the duration,” they said.

In the meantime, the Advisory Board of The DEFENDER Newspaper, under the Presidency of AIG Mu’azu Idris Hadeija (Rtd), has congratulated the acting leadership of the NDDC while praying that a more effective transformational system be achieved now under Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua and with those that will be in charge in the future.
