In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov as the new envoy to China

Chinese authorities are pleased to welcome the new head of Russia’s diplomatic mission in China, Igor Morgulov, who has assumed his duties in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told a TASS correspondent on Friday.

“We warmly welcome Russian envoy to China Igor Morgulov, who has arrived in China and started his work, we are ready to actively provide him with the necessary assistance and support,” Wang Wenbin said.

The Russian diplomatic mission in China said on Thursday that Russia’s new envoy to China, Igor Morgulov, has arrived in Beijing and started his official duties.

In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov as the new envoy to China. At the same time, the head of state relieved Andrey Denisov of this post by another decree.
