Canada-based Battles Against Corruption in Nigeria Group has praised the signing of the “Not Too Young To Run Bill” into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group, in a statement by its President, Mr. Waheed Seriki, emailed to The DEFENDER, said by signing the Bill, President Muhammadu Buhari has demonstrated his love for the Nigerian youths.

The bill, Seriki said, will enable Nigerian youths to be actively participatory in the country’s politics.

“The president by signing the bill into law demonstrates the love and respect he has for the youth. Buhari’s action will silence his critics and opposition parties, who are trying to blackmail and accuse the president with their twisted words of “Nigerian youths are lazy” because they want to score political points by turning Nigerian youths against the president over the 2019 election.

“The signing of the bill without delay is an expression of the trust and confidence Muhammdu Buhari has for the youths of this country.

“President Buhari believes our youth is our future. They are very intelligent and energetic to champion the vanguard of country’s social, political and economic development.

“The president acclaimed that major obstacle that is preventing Nigeria Youth from been actively participatory in the country’s politics and economic development has been finally removed,” Waheed Seriki said.
