The Minister of Transportation, Chief Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has disclosed that the rail station in Agbor, Delta State which construction has been on for 30 years is now completed and ready to be commissioned by the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in a chat, the Transportation Minister said: “It’s another milestone achievement for Nigeria as the Agbor Station has finally been completed and would be launched anytime soon.”

Amaechi further revealed that the Buhari’s government had concluded plans to honour former President Goodluck Jonathan by naming the Agbor Station after him.

Amaechi said: “The project is more than 30 years in the making. President Buhari-led administration has concluded plan to name it after one of Nigeria’s former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan,” he said.

President Buhari is believed to have saved Nigeria the many shames of emanating from abandoned projects of the past, as the continuity policy of his civilian administration since May 29, 2015 – not only has completed those many-time awarded but neither executed nor completed projects but also – has completed and is still working to completing many of them and building new other projects.
