“I can say that Innoson vehicle manufacturing is doing well, especially with the level of patronage and support the company is enjoying under the present Federal government.

“With more support and patronage from Nigerians, we hope to expand our vehicle manufacturing firm to help provide more employment to our youths,” said Chief Innocent Chukwuma, CEO, INNOSON Motors.

That unwavering commitment and support keeps coming from “the present Federal government” as practically exemplified by the Buhari administration recently helping in financing the establishment of two new vehicle manufacturing plants as well as an Automated Robotic Spraying Booth (the first of its kind in Africa) for Innoson Manufacturing Company located in Anambra state, South East Nigeria. This is in addition to deliberately ensuring that the federal government, security agencies and MDAs patronise the company.

The two new plants were commissioned on the 12th of July, 2021 by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, and were financed with the sum of N4.6bn from the Bank of Industry under the approval of the administration as well as the active support of the Nigerian Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) chaired by Senator Osita Izunaso.

Named as the Innoson Small/Mini Bus Plant for manufacturing 1.5 litre engine capacity 7-seater and 10-seater buses, and the Innoson Connect/Caris Plant for the production of Sedan cars, which are branded as Innoson Connect and Innoson Caris, the two new plants have a combined capacity to produce 32,000 vehicles per year with a staff strength of about 1,000 workers.

I keep saying that rebuilding Nigerian goes beyond noise making and bill board governance as we have been used to. A lot of real and sustenable work aimed at restoring Nigeria’s true greatness are ongoing across the Federation in multiple sectors. These are backed up and complemented by key infrastructural developments as well as macro and micro policies to ensure sustenance and sustainability.

It is a fact and a discouraging one too that this Administration is not good at information and communication but it is the patriotic and civic duty of every responsible citizen to inform and update him/herself on what is going on in the nation; even in their respective geopolitical zones and states and not allow insincere and mischevous people to mislead them.

Is Mr Peter Obi who himself is from Anambra state and indeed a former Governor of the state and self appointed economic guru not aware of the fantastic things happening at INNOSON with the active, sustained and dedicated commitment and support of the Buhari Administration? In what other ways do you build a nation and grow the economy?

With such sustained local manufacturing capabilities, which guarantee real job opportunities (not yahoo yahoo) for thousands of Nigerian youths, this investment by the Buhari administration in aiding the Organized Private Sector (OPS) to maximise their productivity is a sure catalyst for making the country self-reliant economically and technologically.

By the way, may I remind some people that INNOSON MOTORS is a private venture just like Dangote Refinery but any responsible, pragmatic, serious, competent and futuristic government is able to identify such ventures that hold potentials to grow the nation’s economy and positively impact on the lives of its citizens and help them grow and succeed for the common good.

Finally, as a proud Nigerian of proud Igbo extraction, I sincerely thank Chief (Dr) Innocent Chukwuma of INNOSON MOTORS as well as Chief (Dr) Allen Onyema of AIR PEACE AIRLINES for their integrity and for patriotically and practically flying the flag of the Igbo resilient enterprising and entreprenual spirit as an integral, un-neglible and indisoluble part of the Nigerian nation.

I equally, immensely commend and appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari, the father of the new and modern day Nigeria for staying unflinchingly and resolutely focused on the things that truly matter, in spite of the relentless push backs by unpatriotic and mischievous elements among us.
