In an indication of a sacrifice unaccepted, heavy downpour laced with thuderstorm on Saturday sent away Oduduwa Republic agitators including Sunday Igboho, who earlier gathered in Osogbo, Osun State capital to demand for actualisation of Yoruba nation.

Igboho, who spoke at the venue of the mega rally, also demanded the release of Oodua Peoples Congress 8OPC) members, who were detained for arresting blind, eldery Fulani man, Iskilu Wakili, in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

He was addressing the agitators when the scorching sunny weather turned cloudy at 2:25 pm.

Against his claims of having powers over all things including being able to enter any house without making use of the door, Igboho failed to successfully command or stop the the devastating rain situation as he, standing on top of a vehicle, hurriedly addressed his “brainwashed” supporters.

When other leaders wanted to address the agitators, heavy rain started and it dispersed supporters from the venue.

The venue of the rally was heavy with the presence of operatives of the Nigeria Police Force as well as men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The protesters including tribalist fighter, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho, may have been disowned by the ‘gods’ considering a comment obtained by The DEFENDER, which said:

“The expectation is that the likes of Sunday Igboho would have appeased the gods to hold the rain from falling. The fact that the rain went ahead to fall laced with striking thunderstorm is an indication that the gods, which they believe in against the One God of reality, have disowned them with strong warming, if they would reason appropriately.”

According to the source, “They are the ones who make religion of God unimpactful in the day-to-day life of Nigeria’s South as they are either Christians or Muslims in the morning or during the day but turn pure idolators worshipping the devil in the evening or during the night.

“Funniest, they insist on their empty claims of Christianity and Islam as foreigners’ religions imposed on Africa while fighting daily to revitalize the disbelief system of the dark days. Otherwise, what is in Oduduwa Republic or Biafra Republic if not paganism?

“And their agenda, if achieved, is to face religious people of Christianity and Islam and turn their respective ‘countries’ particularly Oduduwa Republic to South Sudan.

“Too bad, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) inclined among Christendom is part of this paganism way of the Oduduwa Republic project,” he submitted in his anonymous comment.

In the meantime, some other Nigerians, reacting to Saturday’s development in Osogbo, are not happy that Sunday Igboho, another Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fighting thug leader disguising to be “fighting for Yoruba liberation”, is being watched to grow wings and brainwashed followers hip like Nnamdi Kanu.

One of them said, “Why DSS is watching as this guy penetrates the minds of the people with his demagoguery is something I don’t understand. Aren’t they meant to be proactive? He’s already brainwashing a lot of people and having cult following…do they want him to become like Nnamdi Kanu before they act?”

Another Nigerian in his comment said:

“My worry exactly. The same way they watched ESN grew before starting constituting nuisance. For crying out loud, we should have learnt from the insurgency from Boko Haram to prevent any activities capable of degenerating into brainwashing the intelligence of people.

“We need to be more proactive rather than reactive.

“Igboho is here promoting ethnic bigotry, Nnamdi Kanu is in the UK doing his own and enjoying the shield of the UK government and their waves to promote ethnic conflict within and we appear to be looking.

“America has learnt so fast from what happened in Lagos during the Endsars protest and is not leaving any stone unturned to nip in the bud any attempt to insult their collective unity and what they stands for as a nation.

“In all sincerity, not all manner of updates should be tolerable in our media space. This is not in attempt to stifle the press but to cushion the effects of these news on the relative harmony amongst our citizenry.”
