President Muhammadu Buhari has requested the Senate to confirm the appointment of his Digital and Social Media Aide, Lauretta Onochie, as the substantive Chairman of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Buhari’s letter, which was read at plenary Wednesday by the Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, also named 15 others as members of the Board.

The ability of Onochie to turn NDDC around for its dreamed development is not in doubt, considering her impeccable character and antecedents as a pragmatic person.

Indisputably ‘Madam Due Process’, the body language expert is said to have paid her dues as sincere public official, who is committed to Nigerianness with unalloyed loyalty to the democratic government since, upon her return from United Kingdom, she joined the Buhari administration in 2015.

Her appointment confirmation, expectedly, by the Senate will set the beginning of new dawn in the life of Niger Delta administration in the country.
