*Tells why he won’t return to APC

Governor Obaseki of Edo State, on Friday, paid a Thank You visit to President Muhammadu Buhari for the enabling democratic environment he provided for the people of Edo state to make an independent choice.

Digital and Social Media Aide to the President, Lauretta Onochie, disclosed this on a social media platform on Friday.

The election has been adjudged as free, fair and credible. Its conduct has drawn applause from beyond Nigeria.

According to Onochie, Obaseki was accompanied by his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu and some other members of his team.

While addressing State House correspondents after the meeting, Obaseki said he has no plan to return to APC, adding that leaving PDP will alter his credibility and integrity and this it will make him lose both.

He noted that he visited the President to appreciate him for creating enabling atmosphere for conduct of credible, free and fair election in Edo state.
