Breaking News: Police rescue kidnapped Lagos students

The Nigerian Police Force yesterday finally put to rest the various information regarding the kidnap of Lagos school boys as the rescued students were finally handed over to Lagos State Government by the Ondo State Governor Romiti Akeredolu following their rescue by operatives of the foremost security agency.

The boys were kidnapped from their school, Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, Lagos State, 65 days ago.

Reports say they were released at Aboto Creek in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State on Friday afternoon to the deputy governor of the state at about  3.30p.m.

NAN gathered that their release was made possible by the Lagos, Ondo state governments and the police.

The students are: Pelumi Philips, Farouq Yusuf, Isiaq Rahmon, Adebayo George, Judah Agbausi and Peter Jonah.

Meanwhile, the rescued students, during a press conference jointly addressed by Governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu, Deputy Governor of Lagos State Idiat Adebule and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Fatai Owoseni, were Friday night reunited with their families.
