The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed February 26 for its national convention.
Chairman of its Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja at women conference organised by the party.
The DEFENDER reports that decision to announce the date followed Buni’s visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in State House on Monday.
During the visit, he discussed particularly the decision of Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) to hold the convention in February.
It will be recalled that Chairman of the APC Governors and Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, had said Mai Buni would announce the specific date in February at a later date.
