Bombing of Kaduna village by Nigerian Army intentional – Sheikh Gumi
Prominent Nigeria’s Islamic cleric and retired Army officer, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, has declared without mincing words that the killing by the Nigerian Army in Tudun Biri Village, Igabi Local Government, where over 100 Muslims were massacred during a Maulud Nabiyy celebration, was not a mistake but deliberate.
The cleric made this statement during one of his preachings in Kaduna over the last weekend.
Sheikh Gumi, a medical doctor and Major of the Nigerian Army retired since 1987, emphasized that a place cannot be bombed twice and dismissed it as a mistake.
Known for his calls for a truce between the government and bandits during the Buhari administration, Dr. Gumi urged the federal government to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
In a video, Dr. Gumi expressed his disappointment, stating that it is unfortunate that many people have been killed in the bush for several years, all dismissed as mistakes.
